In the 1970’s the efforts of SHIMANO to become a force in cycling components around the world paid off. We took on the European road race market with the SHIMANO 600 Series and our flagship model Dura-Ace and built a solid reputation for the SHIMANO brand. The legend created by the original SHIMANO 600 Series (now known as Ultegra) give an aura to the number “600” and made it synonymous as the symbol for high quality and the start of SHIMANO as a global power in sports.
Crowning our innovative entry into rowing with this number symbolizes our confidence that you will be impressed-you can count on it.

SRD600 Foot stretcher
SRD600 Foot Stretcher is equipped with a Virtual Pivot mechanism that allows the foot stretcher to rotate to keep the feet at the optimum power transmission angle as the rower’s posture changes. This improves rowing movement efficiency and gives the rower revolutionary ease of motion. A binding between the SRD600 Foot Stretcher and the SRD600 Rowing Shoes completes the system. With this system crew members can use their own shoes—gone is the necessity of sharing footwear. Further, the independent binding units on the right and left sides can be easily adjusted to change the stance. Another advantage of the SRD600 Foot Stretcher is that it can be adjusted for installation in almost any boat regardless of manufacturer or type.

SRD600 Rowing Shoes
SRD600 Rowing Shoes are special shoes that engage with the SRD600 Foot Stretcher via a binding system. The Virtual Pivot mechanism allows hard soles to be mounted to achieve high power efficiency from the recoil of the entire sole with each stroke. Further, the outer has a rubber sole to let you keep the shoes on and walk normally when not rowing.
